Normal Histology | Histology Image Gallery | Breast
The breast consists of a ductal lobule system with lobules of ducts all draining to the nipple. The ducts are lined by simple cuboidal cells surrounded by a myoepithelial layer of cells that contract to propel fluid forward. There is an abundance of fat within the breast and lobules vary in size and number depending on age and date of pregnancy.
