Normal Histology | Histology Image Gallery | Fallopian Tube
The fallopian tube consists of three layers within its wall. The internal mucosa, which is made up of primary folds is lined by columnar epithelium, with three different types of cells, secretory, ciliated and peg cells. Then there is an intermediate muscular layer with an inner circular and an outer longitudinal layer. The outermost layer is the serosa, which is basically similar to peritneum.
