The prostate gland is found just below the bladder and forms the secretions of semen. The prostate is an exocrine gland which have open into the prostatic ducts and eventually to the urethra. The prostate glands are surrounded by myoepithelial cells and smooth muscle fibers. The prostate can be divided into the central glandular zone and the peripheral glandular zone.
